Doll Designs(which was formerly known as "National Doll World Omnibook") and Dollmaking: Projects & Plans merged to become Dollmaking: Crafts & Designs. I say merge euphemistically because Doll Designs didn't appear to contribute anything content-wise to Dollmaking, which was already drifting more and more toward the making of porcelain dolls. They included at least one cloth doll pattern in all the issues of Crafts & Designs, but dropped them when they changed their byline again in Nov/Dec.1996 and became exclusively a porcelain doll crafting magazine. They merged with the professional doll journal DollPro: solutions for the modern doll artist(an in-house publication of Seeley's Ceramic Service) in Sept/Oct.1999 issue and changed their byline for the fourth and last time. Confused? Me too. I'm betting you've got to be a hardcore adrenalin junkie to be a magazine editor! I've included the bibliographies of all the issues I own, which is a majority, but by no means a complete run, just because I can - even though I've never made a porcelain doll and probably never will. There are beautiful costume patterns throughout, and how-to articles in the first half of the run that I found both useful and entertaining.
