Disk one – 10 years of classic British Rail

mainline locomotives from 1987-1997.

This CD features 150 full colour photographs from the BR sectorisation years of 1987-1997.  This disk takes you back to when locomotives were still common on passenger workings and before class 66s arrived to dominate the freight scene.

• Classes include:  08, 20, 31, 33, 37, 40, 43, 47, 56, 58, 59, 60, 73, 85, 86, 87, 90, 91, 92 - all in a wide variety of liveries seen during the sectorisation period up to 1997.

• Locations include:  Aberdeen, Carlisle, Crewe, Darlington, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Hull, Inverness, Leeds, Liverpool, London area (various stations), Manchester, Stafford, York - plus several smaller stations in-between, some lineside shots and 4 BR depot open days/special events.

• All photos are my own work using a Nikon N2000 35mm SLR camera.

• All photos have been scanned directly from 35mm negatives at a super-high resolution of 2400dpi to give apx. 8.5 Megapixels in standard JPEG format.

• Every photo comes with a caption stored in the “file properties” detailing the locomotive, location and exact date, the captions do not appear on the photos themselves as this would spoil them.  All captions are also stored in a single file of .DOCX, .RTF and .PDF formats so you can view/print them out for the whole disk.

• I use quality Memorex brand disks, NOT cheap “shop’s-own” disks.

• This CD comes with a colour sleeve, colour artwork label and a slim-line plastic case.

• I have been selling these disks since 2007 with hundreds of happy customers!

• I have been an amateur photographer using SLR cameras for over 30 years, I do not take pictures with mobile phones, tablets, instamatic or point-and-shoot etc.

• I retain copyright over all images.  These photos are NOT for resale or distribution in any format, but you may print them out for yourself if you wish.
