Seller's Description
bg510 A vintage old real photo postcard of The Avenue at Bocking near Braintree from wartime (franked is faded but war era frank and the other postcard from this collection which I have also listed was 1914 so I must assume the same year) - small corner impressions and fraying from former album storage and a couple of small border faults but mostly very good condition indeed. This has such character as you will see from the fonts used below the photo and reverse message was sent addressed from Bocking and how the person was digging trenches in Braintree during the war. It reads "We have got to dig about 14 miles of trenches and it is very hard work I can tell you". A great local history real photo war souvenir.
