Seller's Description

8 Original 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/4 inch Stills for the 1949 David MacDonald Adventure DIAMOND CITY, from an original screen story by Roger Bray starring David Farrar, Honor Blackman, Diana Dors, Niall MacGinnis, Andrew Crawford, Mervyn Johns, Bill Owen and John Salew.

A diamond field is discovered in South Africa, and British entrepreneur Stafford Parker attempts to exploit it while maintaining law and order in a situation of near-anarchy.

The stills are by Dennis Reed with his stamp on the reverse. Reed entered the film industry as still camera assistant to Frank Buckingham, in 1932, at the Nettlefold Studios, Walton-on-Thames. He worked at the same studios as still cameraman from 1935 until 1938, moving on to Denham Studios.

The stills are in very good condition with slight curling due to age.
