Seller's Description

Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1947 Claude Autant-Lara Drama LE DIABLE AU CORPS (DEVIL IN THE FLESH), based on the novel by Raymond Radiguet and starring Micheline Presle, Gerard Philipe, Denise Grey, Palau, Jean Debucourt, Jean Lara, Michel François, Max Maxudian, Henri Gaultier, Jacques Tati and Richard Francoeur.

In France during World War I, pretty nurse Marthe waits for her husband, Jacques, while he fights on the front lines. The lonely Marthe begins a tempestuous affair with 17-year-old François, with whom she had a dalliance before marrying Jacques. Jealous François struggles with the fact that Marthe is married, while she tries to prove her devotion to her young, hotheaded lover. Things become even more complex when Marthe becomes pregnant with Jacques’ baby.

On the reverse is the 1953 John H. Auer Crime Drama CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS starring Gig Young, Mala Powers, William Talman, Edward Arnold, Chill Wills, Marie Windsor and Paula Raymond.

Johnny Kelly, who plans on resigning from the police force and leaving his wife the next day, has a very eventful last night on duty.

The advert is in very good condition.
