In 2007, the Lakota Nation withdrew from all treaties with the United States in a decision to declare their sovereignty and independence. Free from tyranny, the Lakota are implementing sound money to help restore wealth and prosperity to their people. Crazy Horse adorns this .999 fine Silver medallion as an important figure of the Lakota people who, in his lifetime, was committed to preserving the traditions and values of the Lakota way of life. On the reverse, the American bison - a vital symbol of Lakota culture
On the obverse, you will notice the STUNNING depiction of Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse gained great attention by standing against the U.S. Government and for his participation in the 1876 Battle of Little Bighorn. Although no known photographs of Crazy Horse exist, the artwork was commissioned by Kenneth Ferguson, famed American Indian painter and artist. The reverse image shows the sacred ancestor of the Lakota Oyate, the buffalo, in exquisite detail.
