Original 1940 Re-Release British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1936 Alexander Esway, Zoltan Korda, John Monk Saunders, Alexander Shaw & Donald Taylor Aviation History CONQUEST OF THE AIR, based on stories by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and starring Laurence Olivier, Franklin Dyall, Henry Victor, Hay Petrie, Margaretta Scott, Michael Rennie, Charles Lefeaux as Louis Bleriot, John Turnbull, Charles Hickman as Orville Wright, Percy Marmont as Wilbur Wright and Ben Webster as Leonardo da Vinci
Conquest of the Air was a 1936 documentary film on the evolution of aviation, up until the early stages of World War Two. It features historical footage of the developments of commercial and military aviation; including the early stages of technology developments in design, propulsion, and air navigation aids. It was a London Films production, commissioned by the Air Ministry of the British Government.
The advert is in very good condition with some surplus paper attached to the right edge.
