This movie, as many lower budget war movies do in fact lack the screen play and high tech computer graphics of modern day films, but this Cold War era movie is very entertaining. Lyle Alzado in perhaps his last movie appearance does a good job as a Soviet General and the lines in the movie and hard nosed acting of Lance Henriksen are great. Steve Kaman as Colonel Kotchov does a great job as a Spetsnaz group leader, he is tough and gets the job done. His comments to Captain White in the chopper about the American justice system on the way to Cuba are funny and true.

Perhaps one of the funniest parts of the movie was when they meet for the first time on the aircraft carrier, and as the Mi-24 HiND chopper piloted by Katchov approaches, you can see the size and real shape of the chopper, and yet once its landed it suddenly becomes a small two seater a fraction the size of the actual chopper, the other hilarious line was when Captain White was in the bush just minutes before the attack, and was asked what he discussing with Crazy Ivan just hours before, and he responds, "Trying to come up with some kind of Op plan" this is simply classic.

In all this movie is worth having as a Cold War movie collectable, scenes are adventurous and many are comical, the interaction between soldiers on both sides and seeing the choice of small arms of each soldier and uniforms are worth paying attention to. The music in the movie is actually good.
