ABritish Lieutenant a Maori sergeant and an R.A.F. mechanic. Seems like an unlikely combination, doesn't it? Well, they would agree - they were often at Loggerheads. Yet when it camne to the crunch and they couldn't get along without each other's help they made a team second to none. 

 

Issue 1980 - THE GLORIOUS GLADIATORS (Dated 1986)

When Danny Evans was posted from a Spitfire squadron to a dead-beat outfit flying Gloster Gladiators, he reckoned he'd see no more action. Stooging about over the Indian Ocean in an ancient biplane a hundred miles per hour slower than his Spit wasn't his idea of being a fighter pilot. The war would never catch up with him again, he thought. We, he thought wrong. In that Gladiator he saw more action than he'd ever dreamed of!
