Original Belgian 18 1/2 inch x 14 1/2 inch Poster for the 1939 Anthony Kimmins Ealing Studios Musical Comedy COME ON GEORGE starring George Formby, Pat Kirkwood, Joss Ambler, Meriel Forbes, Cyril Raymond, George Carney, Ronald Shiner, Gibb McLaughlin and James Hayter.
George befriends a horse, only to discover just before a big race that it destroys any jockey who comes near it. There inevitably bands of crooks, car chases, a comic brain specialist, and a girl whose true love enables our hero to overcome his fear.
The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes and a staple in the word ‘Lui’. It is printed on the reverse of a map of Portsmouth. As with many vintage Belgian posters the top border has been trimmed off.
