Colwyn Bay Zoo 1964, Bedford Olaz Bus, Large Photo
Description: This is a Large approx 11" inch x 8" inch black & white photo of a period scene of a Colwyn Bay Corporation, 1954 Spurling Bodied Bedford Olaz bus, fleet number 2, registration plate KUN400, destination board 'Colwyn bay Pier', seen here on Colwyn Bay Promenade in 1964.
The bus which is sat idle at the steel railway bridge bus stop has 'Welsh Mountain Zoo Bus' wooden sign boards on the roof, and there is a passenger sat onboard. The roadway under the railway bridge is now pedestrianised and blocked off to traffic, and there is now a cctv surveillance camera on top of the weather vane pole.
