Candle Care - Looking after your natural candles

• To ensure an even burn and prevent “tunneling”, the first time you light your candle, we recommend that you leave it burning until the wax melts across the entire surface of the candle, right to the sides of tins. This technique ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
• Each time you light the candle trim the wick to 5 mm, this encourages a steady flame, even burn and prevent the wick from sooting.
• Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.
• With natural candles like these, it’s best not to blow the candle out, we recommend pinch it out, use a snuffer or dip it into the melted wax and pull it out again. You could also extinguish it using the tin lid.
• Be sure to let the wax set with the lid off.
