CI 212/214 (Lucas 255659) STARTER BRUSHES, ASTON ALVIS DAIMLER JENSEN RILEY ETC

New, old stock starter motor brush set 1930s to 60s, to replace Lucas 255659 but with benefits! In the 1930s Lucas introduced the 255659 set for the early M35G 2 brush motors but for the soon to follow M418G, M45G (and a few M45AL) model 4 brush motors no new set appeared and you were expected to either buy 2 sets of 255659 or buy 1 set and a complete commutator end bracket assembly. (Nb the Lucas part no. of a single insulated field coil brush is 263018.)

After market component supplier Commercial Ignition clearly didn't view this state of affairs as satisfactory and introduced their set no. 212/214 having 2 insulated field coil brushes and 2 earth brushes.
