Original 9 3/4 inch x 7 3/4 inch Portrait of GEORGE ROBEY in the 1934 Walter Forde Musical CHU CHIN CHOW, based on the play by Oscar Asche.
Music hall star Robey (‘the prime minister of mirth’) takes centre stage as Ali Baba for Walter Forde’s early sound film version of the old Oscar Asche-Frederick Norton Arabian Nights stage musical.
The portrait is in very good condition with faint masking lines.
