On September 11, 2001, suicide hijackers commandeered four passenger airliners, crashing two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and, after a struggle with heroic passengers, one into a field in rural Pennsylvania. More than 3,000 people were killed, signaling the start of the nation's new war, a war on terror. This CD-ROM is a time capsule of that historic 10-day period that draws from the articles, photographs and graphics of the Chicago Tribune, with narration from the journalists who witnessed history.
