Ken Currie on the Clubs and the C & C C Racing Team

Chris Craft Interviewed

Ian Ward on Kit Cars

Martin Holmes on Rallying

John Foden on Autocross

Mike Kettlewell on Circuit Racing

Generally, it is in good condition except for some slight bending near the spine. The paper quality is still good except for some light tanning throughout; cheap paper used perhaps?

Quality Grading is 'Very Fine plus'.

This magazine is one of a large, wide-ranging collection of Men's Magazines that I have been asked to release via auction.

These will all be released eventually as I am able to get them onto the auction site.

Generally, the items in the collection were stored flat and in the dark. However, some were stored on their spines in hanging files (in filing cabinets) and may have bent. I am sure that this can be remedied by storing them appropriately (place flat with a stack of magazines on top?).

As a large proportion of these magazines are from the 1970s and 1980s, they should have a value greater than more recent magazines, dependant of course on their age and condition.

Each magazine will be graded based on the classifications listed below :

Grading is meant to help both the seller and the buyer to have a full understanding of the item's true condition. '+' denotes above the grading, '-' denotes just below the grading but better than '+' on the grade below.

Near Mint (NM): no apparent obvious defects; high cover gloss; no fading; covers flat, centred and unworn; spine flat and tight; centred staples; interior pages clean and white. Permissible defects: slight stress by staples; minute corner creases; small binding or printing faults.

Very Fine (VFN): several minor defects; good cover gloss; minimal surface wear; near flat cover; small corner creasing; very minor corner, edge, or spine wear; slight staple discolouration; up to half an inch (13mm) light cover crease permitted; interior paper may be off-white.

Fine (FN): no major defects but an accumulation of minor ones, including corner dings, minor creases and light spine wear.

Very Good (VG): medium general wear; no pieces out (although a small missing corner piece is acceptable); minor tape repair; crosswords and mail coupons filled out.

Good (G): complete; readable; badly creased; rusty staples; small pieces may be missing; interior pages may be tanned but not brittle.

Fair (F): very badly worn; missing pieces but no missing pages; dark tanning, near brittleness.

Poor (P): curiosity value only.

(this grading system is copied from 'raindropsies', a magazine seller on ebid)
