Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Douglas Sirk Adventure CAPTAIN LIGHTFOOT, with a screenplay by W.R. Burnett and starring Rock Hudson, Barbara Rush, Jeff Morrow, Kathleen Ryan, Finlay Currie, Denis O'Dea and Geoffrey Toone.

In 1815, Michael Martin, member of an Irish revolutionary society, turns highwayman to support it, and soon becomes an outlaw. In Dublin, he meets famous rebel "Captain Thunderbolt" and becomes his second-in-command, under the name "Lightfoot."

On the reverse is the 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1955 Sidney Gilliat Comedy THE CONSTANT HUSBAND starring Rex Harrison, Cecil Parker, Margaret Leighton, Kay Kendall, Nicole Maurey, Valerie French, Ursula Howells, Jill Adams, Robert Coote, Raymond Huntley, Eric Pohlmann, Marie Burke, George Cole, Michael Hordern, Charles Lloyd Pack, Arthur Howard, Michael Ripper, Alfred Burke, Sam Kydd and Sally Lahee.

Constant Husband artwork is by Brian Robb (1913 - 1979). Brian Robb was born in Scarborough, educated at Malvern College and studied at Chelsea School of Art from 1930, and at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1935. He went on to produce cartoons for Punch magazine, book illustrations and posters for Shell and London Transport. During World War II he was a creative camouflage officer in the Western Desert and after the war taught at Chelsea College of Art before becoming head of illustration at the Royal College of Art.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold with 2 staple holes along it.
