c1913 CHARLES DICKENS LITTLE DORRIT VOLS 1 & 2 CAXTON ILLUSTRATED BOOKS (P5)
Great antique fiction hardback books by Charles Dickens. London Edition. Complete set of two volumes. Contains colour and black & white illustrations as well as illustrated Editorial Notes. No publication date but another book I have in this series has a name in pen dated to 1913. Published by Caxton Publishing Company. Photos 1 to 3 show staining on the covers of both books. Photos 4 & 16 show that the initial pages of each book have detached. Photo 23 shows a gap between the cover spine and pages (NOTE: this is common in old books. The cover is still attached fine due to the endpapers but the binding feels a bit wobbly). Photo 24 shows a split on the cover spine edge of volume 1. Other pages inside each book are in nice condition especially as the books are around 110 years old.
