c1881 "MAGAZINE OF ART" BOUND ISSUES LARGE 1.6kg ANTIQUE BOOK (P8)
Great antique LARGE HEAVY 1.6kg fine binding hardback book containing bound issues of the Magazine Of Art. Volume 3 only which is likely to be all the magazines for the year 1881 but it does not say that. I have Volume 2 for sale (at time of listing) at that has a date of 1879 but photos 19 to 21 show a Magazine Of Art advertisement leaflet dated 1881 so perhaps this book dates to 1881. Contains illustrations throughout. Photos 4 & 5 show the lovely ornate designed gold gilt page edges. Photos 6 & 22 show some fading to the cover corners at the bottom. Photo 23 shows a little mark on the cover spine. Photo 24 shows a label on the inside cover naming a previous owner. Some pages have foxing on the page edges but binding and most pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 143 years old.
Measures 26.5cm tall x 20cm wide. Weighs 1.6kg.
