Rare and very collectable Antique GeorgeIII Sterling Solid Silver Soup, Stew or Serving Ladle, Hallmarked For ABERDEEN SCOTLAND C1792, making this an 18th Century 230 Year old Antique Treasure.
Fully hallmarked for JAMES ERSKINE registered from 1792 to 1818 in ABERDEEN SCOTLAND.
The Ladle is 30.5cm/12 inches Long, and weighs 153gms, it is of the FIDDLE or OAR PATTERN, it is monogrammed with the letters A.M. in script, please look at the pictures it has a nice deep oval shaped bowl. although the ladle is big it has a very elegant feel to it.
The Hallmarks are very crisp and clear ,the spoon is made of a good gauge of silver.
The condition is very good Antique condition for a spoon that is 230 years old it has very little wear to the bowl, a nice polished finish, no repairs or damage, surface scratches commensurate with age, it has been used, a very collectable 18th century item of SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL silver that would grace any collection..
