Butterick sewing pattern B6211, for Misses' retro 1950s dress and belt. This pattern is new and uses modern sizing, but the design is taken from an original pattern, circa 1953.
Pullover, front wrap dress (fitted through bust) has bodice back extending to side front, skirt cut on crosswise grain, no side seams on bodice or skirt, concealed elastic with hook & eye closure, front button and hook & eye closing, narrow hem, and self belt. Topstitching. Note: no provisions provided for above waist adjustment.
Designed for lightweight woven fabrics.
FABRICS: Linen, Cotton, Broadcloth, Chambray, Crepe, Shantung.
Unsuitable for obvious diagonals.
NOTIONS: Six 3/4" Buttons, One 11/4" Buckle, One 3/4" Wide Hook and Eye Closure, 1/4 yd. of 1" Elastic, Hook & Eye.
This pattern is available in a choice of size
combinations; A5(6,8,10,12,14) or E5(14,16,18,20,22). Please see below for
