Seller's Description
What you see is a Hong Kong Regiment (Obsolete)... Later become "Royal" Hong Kong Regiment (V). pre 1953 Cap Badge with King's Crown on Top in Matte Silver Colour...
The Hong Kong Volunteers were first formed in 1854 and were renamed as The Hong Kong Altillery and Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1878. In 1917 they were again renamed as, The Hong Kong Defence Corps. In 1920 the name of the Corps was again changed to, The Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps. In 1961 the Corps became The Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers) and were awarded the "Royal" title in 1970.
This illustrious Regiment was disbanded in 1995.
