Original 9 7/8 inch x 7 3/4 inch Still of STANLEY HOLLOWAY & JOYCE CAREY in the 1945 David Lean Romantic Drama BRIEF ENCOUNTER, based on the one-act play “Still Life” by Noël Coward.
Joyce Carey was unforgettable as the genteel barmaid in the station buffet suffering with skilful tact the advances of Stanley Holloway’s robust ticket collector.
The still is in good to very good condition with slight surface marks partly caused by brief synopsis tacked to the reverse and hand written text also on the reverse.
