For BMW MINI - 2nd generation -  NEW SEAL for the petrol cap:

Fits:

R56 Hatch pre-LCI     Oct 2005 to   Aug '10
R57 Cabrio pre-LCI    Oct 2007 to    Jul  '10
All trim levels ie One / Cooper / CooperS / JCW
Petrol engined models only
Nb dates are manufactured dates NOT registration date

The seal on petrol caps is an item tested every year at MOT time - if
yours is still the original it may be cracked / perished = a MOT fail.

Made of high quality fuel resistant nitrile rubber - the correct long lasting material for fuel cap applications

Note that bmw originally fitted a V style seal to the cap - this is a  solid core O ring style seal so not identical but fit for purpose and more durable. See pictures:

1st Picture = new seal 
2nd Picture = example of a seal that will probably fail MOT inspection
3rd Picture = original and replacement seal profiles compared

DISPATCH: Same working day or next working day dispatch [mon - sat only] .

INCLUDED IN PRICE: IF you buy at the stated price I will dispatch by Royal Mail 2nd class letter service - this should be 2-3 days but this is not guaranteed and may be slower ie can take up to 10 working days [ Nb there is no tracking on this service only proof of dispatch]. ONLY USE this service if you are happy with no tracking and potential delay from estimated delivery time [ which is the 'best case' date]

Fully tracked upgrade: Choose ‘tracked48 ’ at checkout and I will send by Royal Mail tracked service which aims to deliver in 2 days although this is not guaranteed [ most are 2 some are 3 days]. The cost of this is an additional £2.75

FASTEST upgrade: Choose ‘send by RM Special Delivery’ at checkout – this is fully tracked and is normally ‘next working day [working days are mon - fri only] ’ although there are some remote postcodes which are 2 working days. The cost of this is an additional £8
