Original British 10 inch by 8 inch Set of 8 Front-of-House Stills (Lobby Cards) for the 1966 Michelangelo Antonioni Mystery BLOW-UP, based on the short story "Las babas del diablo" by Julio Cortázar and starring David Hemmings, Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles, Veruschka von Lehndorff, Jane Birkin and Gillian Hills.

Antonioni came to London to make this multi-layered puzzle thriller, which turned out to be of the highpoints of the Swinging Sixties. Bland young hero Hemmings suddenly became a star as a quintessential 60s fashion photographer who pictures Birkin romping around his studio with another woman, and a more stately mystery girl Redgrave. Hemmings goes to the park and thinks he’s seen a murder, so in a fascinating sequence he blows up his photos for a better view, but the evidence vanishes and we’re left wondering about truth and illusion.

The stills are in very good condition with a fine crease in the upper right corner.
