Seller's Description

Beverley North Bar Traffic Lights 1955, Hull East Yorkshire Bus, Large Photo

Description: This is a Extra Large 10" inch x 10" inch photo of a traffic scene at the Beverley North Bar in 1955. A 1952 East Yorkshire Motor Services liveried Leyland PD2/12 bus with Roe body, registration MKH89, destination 'Hull' is driving through the 15th century North Bar in Beverley East Yorkshire. These buses were specially made with the custom shaped roof so that buses were able to negotiate the bar on their way to the Beverley old bus station.

This is a rare shot from the 1950s depicting the pre-warboys headroom traffic sign and the Borough of Beverley plaque, along with the exquisitely painted pedestrian traffic railings and period traffic lights. Through the pedestrian archway can be seen in the distance a C1953 Ford Prefect and another saloon from the early 1950s.

Note: This photo is extra large size of 10" inch x 10" inch square and will display beautifully as a center piece, and would look superb with a picture mount in a larger frame.

A nice  shot of a typical East Yorkshire bus scene at Beverley Bar in the 1950s.

This Photograph will look Beautiful in a frame and would make the Perfect Gift
