Issue for Bengal of the East India Company during William IV (1830-1837) reign. Interesting type with small inscription of denomination and medal alignment ↑↑ struck by Madras mint in attractive condition. The mints are usually differ by size of planchets:
- Calcutta 26.2 mm,
- Bombay 25.2 mm,
- Madras 25.5 mm.
This very coin has size 25.4 mm and struck at Madras. The basic classification was started to be published at the online catalog based on this very coin.

Die 1 - large date.
Die 2 - small date, three lions are intensively decorated with dots everywhere.
Reverse
Die A - large legend, 18 berries in wreath, letter "Y" of COMPANY to berry.
Die B - smaller legend, 25 berries in wreath, letter "Y" of COMPANY between leaf and berry.
