Original British 11 inch x 8 1/4 inch Trade Advertisement from Today’s Cinema the 1968 J. Lee Thompson Wartime Comedy BEFORE WINTER COMES, based on “The Interpreter” by Frederick L. Keefe and starring David Niven, Topol, Anna Karina and John Hurt.
Anna Karina was born in Copenhagen in 1940. A former model, she appeared in several Danish advertising films and arrived in France as the star of a Danish short that won a prize at the Cannes Festival. Her career in French films was launched by Jean-Luc Godard, who married her in 1961 and divorced her in 1967. Her impulsive personality was highlighted in several of his films, as well as in those of other French New Wave directors.
The trade advertisement is in very good condition with 2 very soft vertical fold lines.
