The book has been collated and is complete.
The book measures approx, 21.5cm by 14.5cm and contains approximately 310 burgundy topped pages with a photographic frontis, 29 photographic plates and five maps.

The book is ex Bedford College For women Library. There are some notes to the front pastedown, a part label and pencil notes to the first blank endpaper and a stamp to the title page and pastedown.
The rest of the text is in a near fine condition with very slight age toning.
The cloth bound coverboards are in a good general condition, a little surface wear and sun fading with a library reference number to the spine fascia.
