“Parole Heimat” was a slogan used during World War I by the German army to evoke a sense of patriotism and longing for home among the soldiers. “Reserve hat Ruh” is a German phrase that translates to “The reserve has peace” in English. It was a common phrase used in the German military to refer to soldiers who had completed their service and were now part of the reserve force.
