Original U.S. 41 inch x 81 inch 3-Sheet Poster for the 1967 Roger Vadim Sci-Fi Fantasy BARBARELLA, based on the comic series of the same name by Jean-Claude Forest and starring Jane Fonda, David Hemmings, John Phillip Law, Anita Pallenberg, Marcelle Marceau and Milo O’Shea.
The film stars Jane Fonda as Barbarella, a space-traveler and representative of the United Earth government sent to find scientist Durand Durand, who has created a weapon that could destroy humanity.
Poster art by Robert Edward McGinnis. McGinnis is an American artist and illustrator born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1926. McGinnis is known for his illustrations of more than 1,200 paperback book covers, and over 40 movie posters, including Breakfast at Tiffany's (his first film poster assignment), Barbarella, and several James Bond and Matt Helm films.
The poster is in very good folded condition in 2 separate sheets with a censor stamp in the top right corner.
