Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1991 Hector Babenco Drama AT PLAY IN THE FIELDS OF THE LORD, based on the novel by Peter Matthiessen and starring Tom Berenger, John Lithgow, Daryl Hannah, Aidan Quinn, Tom Waits and Kathy Bates.
A quartet of American missionaries block the path when the people of an Amazonian small town want to expand into the jungle at the expense of the Indians.
Poster art by Kazuhiko Sano (1952 - 2011). A Japanese artist born in Tokyo where he also studied oil painting. In 1975, he moved to San Francisco in the United States to study illustration. He began painting movie posters, advertising, and book covers.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
