Seller's Description
Not quite a matched pair of very small green Uranium Glass vases, but as I've never seen any others this
size haven't been able to improve the situation.
Probably quite hard to find although larger versions are quite common.
Neither have any chips.
One is slightly cloudy and has twisted slightly during manufacturing process.
Overall they display well and make an acceptable "pair".
Height. 10cms. (4 inches approx.)
Rim dia. 5.5cms. (2 1/4 inches approx.)
Will combine postage if possible.

Question From paul.sillitoe100 [0] Mon 05 Aug 2024 18:08:50 (BST) Hi
With apologies if this is a hassle, are you possibly able to point me to a source for the attribution of these vases to Stozle? I have a large bowl, and just now a 6 inch vase, with similar foot design, but I can't find anything on line at all to attribute them to a maker. Many thanks.

Answer From theElench [+102] Tue 06 Aug 2024 08:10:56 (BST) Hi Paul, not any hassle at al Some people say that this range of tableware is made by "Hermanova Hut", but it was made by Stolzle at Hermanova hut (hut being factory).
When looking to I.D a piece of 30s pressed glass the first places I look at are:
...
w...
The first has an encyclopaedia attached to their shop. The second, run by Pamela Wessendorf, both well regarded authorities on pressed glass and who contribute to The Glass Message Board. Which is where I go to find answers to questions that I can't find an answer to anywhere else.
Both sites have several examples of different pieces of the set ascribed to Stolzle.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Dave.

Question From paul.sillitoe100 [0] Wed 07 Aug 2024 17:20:36 (BST) Hi Dave
Many thanks for your reply. eBid has just advised that it has blocked my first response to you, earlier today, with a threat of "further action" if I try to violate its rules again. In fact, all I did was to simply say that the links in your message had been blocked. I copied and pasted the relevant part of your message, while thanking you for your time and trouble anyway. I hope that this plain text response is more successfull !

Answer From theElench [+102] Wed 07 Aug 2024 18:55:50 (BST) Hi, my apologies. Ebid does have a strict policy of stopping emails that might be used to complete transactions off-sit to evade paying FVF.
I did not appreciate that this was automated and includes all websites as well as exchanging email addresses.
Anyway you should be able to find the info. you need. Happy to be of help.
Dave.
