Art Deco Brockwitz Amber Glass Fruit Bowl c.1936.

This fruit bowl is a real statement piece, made in Germany and shown in the Brockwitz catalogue c.1936, as shown on pressglass-pavillon, glas musterbook section.

Made in Amber glass with frosted highlights to the corners and base containing stylised foliage and berries.

Standing on four feet and square in shape with fan shaped sides and small handles to each corner.

It has survived relatively undamaged.

The only chips I can find are to two of the handle edges. (See photos 12 & 13)

These are flat flakes and hardly detract as they're not too visible.

Both the rim and the feet are almost perfect with only a few tiny flea-bites 

and some scuffing to the feet due to age and use.

Fan edge to fan edge    34cms x 34cms.  (13.5 inches approx.)

Height to top of fan.    9.5cms.    3.75 inches.
