The book measures approx, 13cm by 18.5cm and contains XVI and 320 marble edged pages with and illustrated frontis, title and two further full page illustrations set within the text.
The front pastedown bears a "Fanshaws" family book plate.
The book is from the collection of Constance Demain Saunders.*
The text block is tightly bound and in a near fine condition. Foxing only appears on the endpapers.
The half leather bindings have edge wear/scuffing.
The joints are firm with no splits or cracks.
*Fanshaws in Hertford is a large house built by Constances father, Henry Wilson Demain Saunders, around 1885. The house is now the property of the Institute of the motor industry.
