Antique tools BRASS BLADON BLOWLAMP B53 BIRMINGHAM engraved period machinery

This is a largish brass blowlamp measuring 20cm in height and an overall width (including handle) of approx 25cm.  

It's heavy, weighing 1185g!

Unusually there are engraved instructions on the side reading:

USE PARAFFIN ONLY

IT IS DANGEROUS TO

USE ANY OTHER SPIRIT

ALL BLADON BLOWLAMPS

ARE GUARANTEED

FILL THREE PARTS FULL

WITH CLEAN PARAFFIN

Also engraved on the top is 'B53' (a model number perhaps), and a maker's logo mark with the words BLADON/GUARANTEED/BIRMINGHAM.  On the screw cap are the letters BHAM, presumably for 'Birmingham', and the small side screw is imprinted with the name 'BLADON'.
