The book was once the property of Rose Gaskell Evans. The daughter of an American Ambassador and wife of Captain Cedric Robert Kyffin Crossfield.
As far as I am aware.
Her initials and a date appear on the front coverboard.
The book measures approx, 11cm by 17.6cm and contains 386 gilt topped pages.
B&W illustrations appear here and there within the text.
The text is complete and fully collated.
The text block is tight with a small area of parting at the gutter of the the half title.
toning is present on the endpapers and pastedowns.
The full red, soft board leather bindings are firm with a little edge wear and chipping to the spine top.
