Antique Georgian (Circa 1800) Large Pinchbeck Gold and Scottish Fire Agate Cabochon Brooch with Box
This gorgeous antique Georgian (Circa 1800) Brooch features a large Scottish Fire 'Flame' effect Agate Cabochon in a Rococo style Pinchbeck Gold frame.
The Brooch has a good strong and extra long pin with a 'C' style clasp and comes complete with its box as shown (the box is not original to the Brooch and has been supplied by us for safe postage).
Pinchbeck is a form of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, mixed in proportions so that it closely resembles gold in appearance. It was invented in the early 18th century by Christopher Pinchbeck and was extremely popular during the Georgian era.

It measures 5cm x 4cm and weighs 16.3g.

The Brooch is in excellent antique condition as shown - Age Georgian (C1800).
The box measures 3.3" x 2.5" x 1". It is in fair antique condition as shown with a good working hinge and a secure clasp.
