Seller's Description

Antique, Colman's Mustard Maritime/Royal Navy Themed Sign/Painting/Plate/Plaque - Framed

You are looking at a very rare and what I think is a printed painting/sign, for the world famous, Colman's Mustard. Framed. Was found in the attic during a turnout and now needs a new home. Not sure of the exact age. I believe my father got it along with a load of maritime related items over 40 years ago. It does however say "By Special Appointment to the King" on the picture say I believe it to be during the reign of King George VI though it could be possibly earlier. I haven't found a way to find the exact age.

I haven't been able to open the frame to check exactly what the picture is made from, hence the wordy "sign/painting/plate/plaque". I personally think it is a printed picture (used during the original advertising campaign when Colman's were highlighting the Royal Navy) but I have also seen identical ones being sold made from tin. However, as I do not want to damage the frame (I can't find an easy way to remove the metals bits on the back), I am working under the assumption that it is paper.

Would make a great gift to collectors of vintage and antique maritime items. In excellent condition, as per the pictures.
