Seller's Description
ANTIQUE LARGE CHINA PLATE
Signed and stamped on the base, this is a large china plate. I would estimate that it's from the late-1800s.
Measures approx. 40.5cm in diameter, depth approx. 5cm from base to plate lip.
Overall, it's in very nice decorative condition. Some small areas of black paint flaking, all from the repeating design on the face and not on any of the rich illustration. The colours are rich and prominent, and all original.
On the back is a chip, which looks to be where the plate was once hung, It looks like the plate may have once cracked along this line, but if so. it's been expertly repaired as the line is nearly unnoticeable on the front. It does, however, end in a chip on the edge, which is less than a centimetre in size.
As I don't read Mandarin, I'm unsure where the plate is from, so am listing it with a low starting price. But it's a super piece of china!
