The Books (Folio Size) Measure Approx; 34.5cm by 45.5cm.
Each division contains three full page B&W photogavure plates of Dickensian characters along with approximately thirteen pages of text and smaller illustrations.
The large prints have loosely inserted tissue protectors.
The rear of division six contains an index.

The divisions are complete with no loss.
The books were available through subscription only. They were not generally available.
Good general condition.
Quarter cloth with paper on board covers. Some surface marking and soiling/ Edge wear, as shown.

Faults;
The books were originally bound using staples so most have rusted and divisions 5 & 2 are partly detached at the top inner gutter.
Division five has dampstaining to the lower corner at the gutter.
All the other plates are in good order, one or two have some spots of foxing in the margin.
