Genuine Antique 9ct Gold Floral Bar Brooch Pin
Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.
I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe. I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras. I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.
I find it heart-breaking that brooches such as this no longer seem to have the appeal they once did as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have.
A quality brooch like this could be worn on so many pieces of clothing providing an elegant statement.
ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Constructed from solid 9ct gold (375 parts per 1000).
UK Chester fully hallmarked and X-ray tested.
Dates to latter part of the 19th Century (c1880s)
The style is classic Victorian with sturdy construction and high quality detailing.
It features floral designs embellished in rose and yellow gold with rope and ball detail around the edges.
Fastens with a gilt hinged pin and C hook clasp - all in good order.
Condition is very good, especially considering its age.
Length is 29.5mm.
Width is 19.5 mm.
It sits 7.5 mm proud.
Weight is under 5 grams (I don't sell items of this quality by weight anyways)
You would expect to pay between £650 and £1,000 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.
Fully insured and tracked postage MUST be purchased with this brooch.
CONDITION REPORT
Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-)
I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
