Antique chemist's card box from Shuttleworth & Stamper, Chemists and Druggist, 140 Leadenhall Street London
Complete and in good condition, from my own collection, this is an original 1800s box which formerly contained 'the true Seidlitz Powders'. Seidlitz Powders were a commonly known laxative and digestion regulator, marketed and sold by numerous manufacturers, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This is a rare survival in very good condition, with the lettering showing it's 1800s and not 1900s. Some browning to the card inside, but overall a remarkable survivor.
