Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.

I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe.  I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras.  I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.

I find it heart-breaking that brooches such as this no longer seem to have the appeal they once did as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have.
This particular brooch is one of the most stunning I have ever seen.  The quality is superior to many of the famous designers (Cartier, Tiffany etc) and would suit royalty.

ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Constructed from solid 18ct yellow gold (750 parts per 1000)
French Minerva assay marked and fully X-ray tested.
Dates to latter end of the 19th Century (c1880s)
The style is quality through and through.  It features a highly detailed buckle design which winds around the brooch and a clasp featuring blue enamel and seed pearls.
The goldwork and attention to detail are nothing short of outstanding - I just wish I could find the maker's mark so I could attribute this as deserved.
Gemstones: Natural seed pearls of uniform size and high quality in a detailed setting.
Fastens with a gold hinged pin and C clasp - all in good order.
Condition is excellent, especially considering its age.

Length is 43mm along the buckle.
Width is 37 mm across the  circle.
It sits 18.5 mm proud.
Weight is 15 grams

You would expect to pay between £3,500 and £6,000 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.

CONDITION REPORT
Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this.  I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history.  I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-)
