Seller's Description
This newly added jig provides the ability to cut accurate and repeatable tapers on foam columns, sloped walls etc,
It is calibrated to give a range up to 20 degrees in 2 degree steps, and is held locked in position with a wing nut. The jig has a working face length of 180mm approx.
The jig is used in conjunction with a straight fence on the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter. It is used by setting the required angle, placing the foam against the stop and sliding through the hot wire.
This precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm and 4mm MDF. We use MDF because of its smooth surface, consistent thickness and overall stability.
The jig can be supplied fully assembled and finished, pre-finished (sanded) or in kit form for self assembly and finishing.
With the fully assembled version the parts have been sanded, sealed, and the working face has been lacquered.
The kit contains all the wooden parts as they come off the laser cutter. They will have a darker edge to them as a result of the laser cutting. This is not detrimental to the operation, if you don't mind the effect then it can be assembled without any further action. Al hardware is included.
To accompany this jig there is the option to purchase the 90 degree fence guide jig This is at a reduced price if purchased with the jig.
The jigs are made to order and will therefore require 3 or 4 days to complete
