Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1970 Jan Kadar Drama THE ANGEL LEVINE, based on a short story by Bernard Malamud and starring Harry Belafonte, Zero Mostel, Milo O’Shea, Eli Wallach, Ida Kaminska, Gloria Foster, Barbara Ann Teer and Anne Jackson.
Unable to work due to a back injury, elderly Jewish tailor Morris Mishkin (Mostel) spends his days caring for his ill wife (Kaminska) and wishing for happiness. After Morris sees a man (Belafonte) die in the street, the man returns to Morris claiming to be a Jewish angel named Alexander Levine, who must perform a miracle within 24 hours to be confirmed as an angel. As his wife's health improves, Morris shows Alexander that renewing his faith may not be so easy.
