Seller's Description

Original 10 inch by 8 inch Still of CONSTANCE COLLIER wearing a dress designed by Cecil Beaton for her role as the gossipy aunt Lady Markby in the 1947 Alexander Korda Comedy AN IDEAL HUSBAND, based on the play by Oscar Wilde

Constance Collier (1878 - 1955) was a distinguished British actress on the British and American stage. She began as a chorus girl in musical revues, then developed into a fine dramatic player. She made her film debut in 1916 in D.W. Griffith’s “Intolerance”, and continued making infrequent but impressive apperances in Hollywood films of the 30s and 40s, typically playing stately ladies of the grand-manner school.

The still is in very good condition with a brief synopsis tacked to the reverse.
