ALGINATE & PLASTER MATERIALS:  The adults hand casting kit contains plenty of high grade colour change (chromatic) alginate impression powder - which is totally safe for use on your skin as the alginate's main ingredient is seaweed!  (It conforms to British safety standards BS 4269 Pt.2:1991 & ISO 1563:1990).  There's 2kg per kit, which will make 2 adult hand casts and quite possibly more, all depending on the size of the hands!  Plus there's 2kg of strong, stone casting plaster. All materials can be bought separately in our shop should you wish to purchase more for additional casts.

THE PROCESS:  3D casting produces amazing results and the effort is more than worth it, we promise!  You will definitely need a helper to assist you (which will usually be the 2^nd person for the 2^nd hand cast) and with the help of our instructions that come with the kit you will be able to produce a great hand cast, just like the photos on this listing!

The ADULT HAND CASTING KIT FOR 2 ADULT CASTS comprises of the following:

• 2kg of Chromatic (colour change) Alginate (there are other kits out there, providing merely a quarter of this quantity at 550g, we know this is not enough to create 2 adult hand casts!)
  

• 2kg High Grade Casting Plaster 

• Cocktail sticks (to help pick away alginate from the plaster casts tiny crevices where applicable!)

• Pewter Metallic Paint

• Artists Paintbrush

• And of course, easy to follow instructions!

What you will need:

For the casting process, you will need a suitable sized container that will fit the adult hand into, and one that is not too big so that the alginate is wasted. Something like a large pop bottle is ideal, where the top lid section is cut off so you are left with a tall cylinder shape.  We give a lot more suggestions of what to use in the instructions that come with the kit, so if you are purchasing this as a gift for someone or a couple, then they will be able to source a container without too much effort, or expense!

PACKING:  The item is gift packed into a nice, sturdy box.  It is perfectly packaged for either a treat for yourself or a gift for another. Example of packing type below:
