Original 1813 6 5/8 inch x 4 3/4 inch Hand-Coloured Engraving titled ABER HONDDU COLLEGIATE CHAPEL, Brecknockshire - South Wales
An engraved print taken from “The Beauties of England and Wales” (1801-1815). This was a series of books describing the topography and local history of England and Wales. Produced by a variety of London publishers, the work appeared in 18 multi-part volumes arranged by county, individually authored.
Engraved by Samuel Rawle (1771–1860). Samuel Rawle was an English topographical engraver and draughtsman. He practised in London. From 1798, he engraved many plates for the European Magazine and Gentleman's Magazine. Later he was employed on some of the major topographical publications of the time.
