Seller's Description
Sepia real photographic portrait studio postcard showing a pair of Royal Navy sailors, possibly based in Plymouth.
Publisher not stated, not numbered, c.1910.
Postally unused, but with address of Mrs F.J. Brooks, Bassett Road, North Country, Redruth, Cornwall, presumably a family connection for at least one of the men. There is a Frederick J. Brooks, aged 1, in the 1891 census for Redruth, living with his mother Mary A. Brooks at South Turnpike in Redruth. Frederick may be one of the sailors in the photo, which may have been sent to his wife.
Good condition, with very slight corner bumps and some silvering to edges of photo.
